The primary focus of this role is on test case design, manual test execution and product understanding, with the opportunity to explore test automation as familiarity with the systems and workflows increases.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Review and understand product features, technical requirements and user workflows.</li> <li>Design, document and maintain structured and traceable test cases.</li> <li>Perform manual test execution and record results, defects and observations.</li> <li>Collaborate with development and product teams to clarify expected behavior and acceptance criteria.</li> <li>Identify and document test cases suitable for future automation.</li> <li>Support the development and maintenance of automated tests using TypeScript and related tools as applicable.</li> <li>Maintain QA documentation, test reports and related internal artifacts.</li> <li>Assist with hardware interaction and test environment setup and validation.</li> <li>Support OAB (Operational and Automation Backend) maintenance and related quality assurance activities.</li> <li>Participate in testing and validation of PKI and security-related workflows.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Security or a related field.</li> <li>Understanding of basic software testing principles and quality assurance processes.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and a structured working approach.</li> <li>Ability to document work clearly and consistently.</li> <li>Willingness to work across testing, documentation and technical support tasks as required by product needs.</li> <li>Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.</li> <li>Flexibility is supported in coordination with team and academic commitments. <span style="font-size: 8pt; color: rgb(236, 240, 241);">#LI-NA1</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with any programming or scripting language, TypeScript is an advantage.</li> <li>Interest in cybersecurity, PKI or cryptographic systems.</li> <li>Basic experience with test management or defect tracking tools.</li> <li>Basic knowledge of automation tools or CI systems such as Jenkins.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Working Model</strong></p> <ul> <li>Up to 19 hours per week during the academic term.</li> <li>Primary in-office days are Wednesday and Thursday at the Aachen location.</li> <li>Flexibility is supported in coordination with team and academic commitments.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>Compensation </strong></p> <p>Salary will be commensurate with experience. &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Culture, Career Opportunities and Benefits&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>We build teams that continually strive to get better than the day before.
