Job Description: As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans, identify defects, and ensure that our applications meet the highest standards of quality before they are released to customers. Responsibilities: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and user stories. Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements. Execute manual and automated tests to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications. Identify and document defects with detailed steps to reproduce, and track them through resolution using bug tracking systems. Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback on testability and potential quality issues. Maintain and expand automated test suites using appropriate tools and frameworks. Perform regression testing to ensure that software changes do not introduce new defects. Set up and manage test environments and test data to support testing activities. Monitor and analyze test results, identify trends, and communicate findings to stakeholders. Continuously learn and stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in software quality assurance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Proven experience in software quality assurance, including manual and automated testing. Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG). Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus. ISTQB or other relevant certifications are desirable but not required. Originally posted on Himalayas
